Carl Himel: Former Corps Support Battalion S1

Carl Himel has an extensive military service record. He is a former Battalion S1 of several teams in the US Army, which he joined after participating in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) while studying Business Administration at McNeese State University. He became a Second Lieutenant in the Army and earned several medals and recognitions throughout his career. Himel is a former Corps Support Battalion S1 in the Army, an experience he uses every day even now as he works for Employee Money Solutions in Houston, Texas.

Carl Himel headed the Corps Support Command provides support troops to battle theaters around the world and helps other units of the military theater in their operations. These support troops can make all the difference between achieving military goals in the field and failing. Himel found himself responsible for his team members and for leading them. His experiences helped him build the experience he needed to become an effective leader and manager for State Farm Insurance, for which he ran a neighborhood office where he managed several employees. Many officers commissioned in the Army in charge of various units and battalions are set up for life after their time in military service is over.

Carl Himel was once a member of the Louisiana National Guard, though he is still a part of the US Army Inactive Ready Reserves. He loves to stay in shape by working out regularly and relying on the conditioning he received in the Army to bolster his current strict running and working out schedules. Even over the age of fifty-five, Himel was once an active participant in races and events in his community.
