Carl Himel: Former Chairman of the Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce


Carl Himel has long been a bastion of his community. When he lived in the town of Orange, Texas, east of Houston, he was deeply involved in the community as a leader of several beneficial organizations, such as the Greater Orange United Way, the American Heart Association of Orange County, and the Kiwanis Club. Himel became chairman of the Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce and won its prestigious Citizen of the Year award in 1999. He has many years of experience working in organizations and businesses as a manager and leader and has a military background to boot.

The Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce is local community organization working to make the community more conducive to business development, bringing in jobs and industry for everyone to take advantage of. It is also committed to improving the quality of life for everyone in the area by providing programs for those that need them and by working with local businesses and other organizations to help foster new job creation and assist those struggling in their community. The Chamber is an asset to the community as a source of information and a promoter of community involvement for everyone so all living in the area can benefit. 

Carl Himel has worked within his community for many years to foster better services for people and to raise money for various worthy causes. His work with nonprofit organizations and charities over the years have set him apart and put him in position to be the President of the Greater Orange Chamber of Commerce.
